It's Friday! Simple Dinner at La Creperie Robinsons Galleria

February 27, 2015: Friday Night: It's that time of the week when busy couples unite and spend quality time with each other.

To satisfy our fondness for quirky bistros, we decided to drop by Robinsons Galleria and enjoy a great meal at Sci-fi Café. Sadly, to our utmost dismay, the restaurant has already shut down. (We were really craving for their nachos! I was personally hoping that I could wear funny costumes while eating.)

So, we resorted to Plan B: La Creperie. It was quite serendipitous when we discovered that the restaurant also has a branch in Galleria.

We have already dined at La Creperie in Katipunan and we loved the place. We were also a bit nostalgic about the food since we had a really great meal at this restaurant on the Valentine's of 2014.

I ordered my personal favorite: Telefono Style Pasta. Luvley opted to go with Pesto Carbonara, it's like the typical carbonara but with a twist: Pesto was added to it, to give it that grassy aroma and taste.

The Telefono Style was not as great as I expected. I swear La Creperie Katipunan served it better. The first time I tasted it, it was extra cheesy and extra sticky. I was a little disappointed this time since the cheese was a bit scarce. So, I exercised my right as a customer and complained how it was not as cheesy as it should be. Gladly, they were very accommodating and recooked the pasta for me. The second version was a lot better, almost as close to the one I've tasted in Katipunan.

Really, this pasta is a must-try!

The Pesto Carbonara was absolutely delicious. It was creamy and cheesy. Exactly the kind of Carbonara your mouth would go watery for. Though if one is not a fan of pesto, this pasta might seem a bit weird to the taste.

They don't serve fancy drinks at La Creperie, which is a huge bummer. We ordered Mango Shake and Cafe Frappe, which weren't very satisfying. The Mango Shake was not quite fruity and the Cafe Frappe tasted like plain coffee slush.

Aside from the food, another thing that would surely draw you to the place is its dainty look. The furniture is simple and cozy. The restaurant's interior is very inviting. And the big plus factor is the ambiance. The restaurant is a perfect place to relax and just let the busy hours (especially rush hours) of the day pass.

We will definitely keep on coming back to La Creperie, perhaps pay a visit to the other branches and this time try their crepes.

Here's a throwback to one year ago: our first experience at La Creperie.

The Katipunan branch looks fancier. The intricately carved royal blue chairs accentuated the place and made it look really classy.

Plus, we were dressed up quite appropriately for the place.
